What is The Scalp Spa?

The Scalp Spa is Australia's specialised spa that addresses various scalp conditions and promotes hair, skin, and body health. We take a holistic approach to identify and treat the root causes of your scalp issues while pampering your skin and body. We are the best of a spa, clinic, and salon—all combined in one.

Where are you located?

We have branches in Bankstown, Sydney, and Braddon, Canberra.

What makes your services different from regular hair salons and spas?

We specialise in scalp and skin health. We are dermal and spa therapists with combined experience in trichology. We specialise in scalp integrity, skin health and total body relaxation ensuring an experience like no other.

Are you hairdressers?

No, our team consists of Dermal and Spa Therapists who work with our deep understanding of trichology and combine it with the healing power of touch. Our Scalpcials™ focus on scalp health and integrity, to boost hair vitality from the roots. We do, however, have staff that are trained in hairstyling if you wish to add it on as an extra service.

Do I need an initial consultation before a treatment?

No, you can book right in! General scalp or skin analysis is given before any of your treatments, however, if you are after advice you decide to treat, we welcome you to book in a skin or scalp analysis to discuss your options and help you decide what treatment is right for you.

Can I get a Scalpcial™ if I have a sensitive scalp?

Yes, you can. We use a specialised soothing treatment for sensitive scalps and adjust the pressure and sensitivity of the treatment throughout.

Can I get a Scalpcial™ if I have extensions?

Yes, you can. However, due to the nature of our intensive scrubbing, it is preferred that you come in-between your hair extension application appointments. That way we can focus on detoxing and healing your scalp between applications.

What scalp conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of conditions, including:

• Dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis

• Dry, itchy scalp

• Oily scalp

• Hair thinning and loss

• Scalp inflammation

• Product buildup

Do your hair treatments include a dry-off?

Yes, all our head spa treatments are concluded with a blast-dry to ensure you aren’t left with wet hair. However, if you would like additional styling, we can offer this service for an addition of  $40+. This would include extra heat-based styling such as straightening, curling, or blow waves.

Will you style my hair after?

Styling is not included however, if we have the staff available at the time of your booking, we may be able to add it on. You can select the “Additional Styling” option to your booking.

Can you help with hair loss?

Yes, addressing hair loss is one of our specialties. We offer a Hair Restoration Treatment that uses the power of exosomes to create the optimal environment for hair growth. This cutting-edge hair restoration treatment uses stem-cell therapy to stimulate hair growth by improving microcirculation, oxygenating the scalp, and nourishing hair follicles.
